metal bowls

December 08, 2015 by WhatBetteFound

I was working on a shoot where the client was looking for many simple organic bowls. I had found ceramic, porcelain, wood and tin. I brought them paper, brass, copper and enamel - but nothing was working.

I have come to learn that there is always a solution, sometimes found by making things and sometimes by finding them. I was so relieved when I found these simple, graceful metal bowls. They were perfect.

Aliza had been making these for a short time and let me use them for the shoot, which ended up being just right for the project. I loved them so much,  we also shot them for whatbettefound. I will let you know when she starts making them again for sale.

I wanted to remind you of the Henry Street Ceramic Online Winter Sale tonight, Tuesday, December 8, at 7pm.  I was fortunate to get to their sale last week held in NYC, and their ceramics are truly beautiful. They make great gifts.
