I was on my way to the flower market last week, before we shot this, and a blizzard derailed our journey. Once we were shooting, I decided to use thread and string to bring in the color and beauty of the white porcelain, instead of the flowers I couldn't get to.

It made me start thinking about the many options out there to create a beautiful space - unconventional choices for decorating.

Perhaps I was thinking about this upcoming Valentine's Day, with my use of pink and red. I don't know- I just love the way the thread moved in the bowls and brightened up the image.
